So you’ve decided to start posting your own videos across all of your social media sites and even on your own website?

Imagine this, you’ve done more than 10 videos and have already shared these online.

Then you find out that these sites have the auto-mute feature activated on default.

You can really hear James Earl Jones shouting here, huh?

Subtitles are the best way to convey your video’s message whether you have audio on or muted.

With the Blurbiz app, when you sign up, you will immediately get to use the subtitle feature and you can go ahead and begin adding those subtitles into your videos!

Just pay attention and follow these instructions on how to add subtitles to your awesome videos!

The following instructions are in continuation of the steps that you already followed from creating a new project and adding the necessary media files to your project.

Step 1

Once you’re already in the “Add Subtitles to Video” user interface. You will need to familiarize with the main control buttons.

Main Control Buttons

Best practice would be to listen to your video and type out the subtitles that you want to appear. As you add a subtitle using the “Add Another Subtitle” button, the default duration for each is 5 seconds.

You are able to change the 5-second duration of each subtitle by using the start and end sliders for each subtitle.

As your video is being played, you may type in the subtitles as you go. If your video plays too quickly while you are typing, you may use the Go Back 5 Seconds button and you may also use your up, down, left, and right arrow keys to make finer adjustments.

Step 2

Refine the timing of the captions you’ve transcribed. Make sure that you’re double checking that the preview you have on the left panel matches when the words come up. You can always adjust the length of your subtitles by dragging the start and end sliders or using your arrow keys.

You also have the ability to drag the entire subtitle along the length of the video by clicking and holding the pink area between the start and end sliders and dragging it forward or backward.

But wait! Again! There’s more!

Step 3

Now that you’ve learned how to add subtitles to your video, it’s also time to learn how to edit the various style options available for you in the Blurbiz app!

Using the left-hand panel menu of the app, you are able to do the following:

Change the video size (quite useful for the various social media sites size preferences!)

Add and Change the Background Color

Change your Subtitle Appearance

Change your Subtitle Alignment against your Video

And also, change the font type, size, color, make it bold or italicized and its justification!

Step 4

Now it’s time to complete and download your video! Just click the green “Complete” button to start processing your video with its added subtitles!

Once your video has completed processing, you will be taken to your finished video where you can download it by clicking on the “Download” button on the upper right corner of your screen. You will have the option to download the video in three formats: 360p Standard Definition, 720p High Definition and 1080p Full HD version!

You can also cut the entire process short if you already have the SRT file for your video and you can just upload it with your video. To do this, click on the purple “Upload .SRT” button and then select the appropriate .SRT file from your computer

With that, you’re done!

Now go ahead and get at it in adding the appropriate subtitles to your videos!
